On February 17 (Hawaiʻi Standard Time) / February 18 (Japan Standard Time), NINJA arrived at the Hilo Base Facility of the Subaru Telescope. With the assistance of the observatory staff, it was safely unloaded from the truck and transported into the laboratory. We will now begin inspecting each component to confirm that no issues occurred during transportation.
The large instrument in the background of the photo is the simulator of the Subaru Telescope’s Cassegrain focus.
